You can tell your friends you're fine. You can even tell yourself. A horse goes by what you're actually doing: your energy, your boundaries, and the way you lead and communicate. Horses are prey animals, wired to notice everything, and their feedback is honest, free of judgment, and hard to argue with.
Sessions happen outside Sacramento, on the ground with calm, well-handled horses. I guide every activity, stay close by, and help you connect what happens with the horse to what's happening at home, at work, and in your own head. Safety and comfort always come first.
Choose a time that fits your week and answer three short questions. That's the whole first step.
We'll spend 20 minutes on Zoom, or on the phone if you'd rather, talking about what's been hard, what you want instead, and how coaching might help. Come as you are.
If it feels right for both of us, we'll choose the path that fits. If I'm not the right coach for you, I'll tell you, and I may know someone who is.

Fair questions, all of them. Here are honest answers.
Book a free callThat's completely fine. Equus coaching happens on the ground, with no riding and no horse experience needed. The horses are calm and well handled, and I'm right there with you. Wear closed-toe shoes you don't mind getting dirty, and expect a little dust, some horse hair, and maybe a wet kiss goodbye.
Maybe you can explain your patterns perfectly and still find yourself in them. Horses respond to what you're actually doing in the moment, which can bring up blind spots that talking alone can miss. If you're working with a therapist, coaching can be a good complement to that work.
I hear you. Virtual coaching happens on Zoom from home, Alchemy calls are recorded, and the first call is just 20 minutes. If you're waiting for life to calm down first, you may be waiting a while. You can start right where you are.
We meet for 20 minutes on Zoom, or by phone if that's easier, and talk about your goals, what's been hard, and how coaching may help. Then we each decide whether working together is a good fit. There's no pressure to sign up. Bring whatever is on your mind.
Initially I was very skeptical about seeing a life coach. When I worked with Riece, she was so easy going and knowledgeable that it put me at ease. Her constant positivity and adaptable strategies really helped guide me and make solid life changes. I’m forever grateful for her.
A few months ago I was feeling lost and overwhelmed with my life. … I decided to take a chance and reach out to her - this one decision changed my life! She was so easy to talk to, and gave me the tools to overcome my overwhelmed thoughts. … To this day I still use the tools I learned from Riece, and I am forever grateful that I had the opportunity to have her as my life coach.
I loved my coaching calls with Riece! She was extremely professional & personable. I learned a lot of techniques to practice every day & looked forward to each appointment. Highly recommend for everyone to experience if not all the time, at least through a season of their lives! Life coaching has very valuable tools to use to function optimally!
I'm a life coach and an Equus coach, certified through the Center for Equus Coaching. I'm also a mother of 5, a wife of 23 years, horse obsessed, and a lifelong learner.
Not so long ago, most of my brain space went to a running list of grievances against myself, my kids, my husband, my house, and whoever assigned that much fourth grade homework. I kept wondering how much more I could take.
My kids still fight. My house is still a mess more often than it's tidy. From the outside, not much has changed. From the inside, this life of mine is almost unrecognizable, and I'd love to help you find that for yourself.
